Happy Monday & Happy New Year!
HAPPY MONDAY & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
This is going to be a recap of 2020. 202, for us was actually a great year.
It was a great year of change in good ways and bad. It was a year where kids were introduced to homeschooling. Obviously, the pandemic played a huge factor in this year.
At the beginning of the year, I was able to go on vacation with my wife and then the pandemic hit and we started the joys of homeschooling for the last 2 or 3 months at the end of the school year. That helped us realize how much work our kid’s teachers actually do. It’s hard, it’s hard to create curriculums and to organize your days to take care of what’s most important, which is our kids.
Those challenges stemmed solutions that were amazing. Those challenges bolstered and boosted our ability to work from home. Which I think is phenomenal, especially for reducing travel time, they reduced pollution, reducing wear and tear on vehicles, the cost savings, etc. But, those cost savings of not going out, in turn, had a negative impact on industries that were heavily reliant on us going out. But those industries, like the restaurant industry, pulled together and found new ways to get through this and got stronger because of it.
2020 was as you know, an election year. I think that we all expected it to be what it was, but you know the fact is that we’re all Americans, we’re all living in a free country, we all have privileges regardless of which side of the equation you are on. We’re all human, we’re all people and it doesn’t matter to me if you’re red or if you’re blue, the most important color is gold, because of the Golden Rule (do unto others as you’d have done unto you). So hopefully, in 2021, everybody will be thinking about gold instead of red and blue.
2021 is going to be exciting! We will, hopefully, be solving the challenges of the pandemic. We will, hopefully, be solving the challenges of the election. I’m super excited for the Olympics! I’ve really missed the Olympics this year, I enjoy watching all of the events, I enjoy cheering on our country and cheering on athletes from all countries and their individual heartfelt stories of how they got to be able to compete at that level.
2021 is going to be fantastic and I’m definitely grateful for the opportunities that have presented themselves this year in our companies growth. 2020 presented challenges that we have overcome, we have gotten stronger from it and better from it, and 2021 is just going to be awesome!
So, Happy Monday, get ready for a good year and I’ll talk to you soon.
